Pray for Egypt

Today there will be massive protests across Egypt. People are demanding justice, rights, and freedom while also protesting against police brutality and governmental corruption. The day of the protest is unique, as it is National Police Day in Egypt. There are plans of people setting themselves on fire to make statements (just like in Tunisia), while violence and death is highly predictable. Christians fear that if the current government is overturned, opposition groups will take charge. Believers are advised not to participate in the protests as there is a chance of persecution erupting.

The good news is that instead of being intimidated by the violence, many believers are standing firm in their faith. They are gathering with prayer and fasting, interceding on behalf of the Egyptian population for God to forgive the citizens and bring His Kingdom. Believers are taking this as a chance to begin a “heavenly protest” of approaching the throne of grace and asking in the Spirit for a special blessing on the authorities. Please pray:
  • That the Spirit of wisdom and revelation would come into the hearts of those committed to Him.
  • That no weapon formed against us will prosper.
  • That we will have the eyes of faith while we go through this difficult time.
  • That the Lord will be glorified and HIS name will be known among our nation!

We hold on God’s promise in Exodus 34:10 “Then the LORD said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you”

Thank you all for standing behind us in prayers!
