Papyrus Paper Cards

The children at the orphanage in Cairo, Egypt are beginning to work on Christmas cards made of Papyrus. I know, it is crazy to think that Christmas will be here before we know it!

The children would be greatly encouraged if their cards were purchased! They are $5.00/each. Call to order: 877-922-7635.

"Papyrus was used as a writing surface as early as 3100 BC and for 4000 years following. It is believed that the original biblical autographs were written on papyrus although later Jewish scribes prohibited its use for parchment when writing sacred texts.

The raw material of papyrus paper comes from the plant Cyperus papyrus. This plant grew along the banks of the Nile and provided Egyptians with the necessary raw materials. This plant was quite versatile and was not only used in the production of paper but it was also used in the manufacture of boats, rope and baskets. However, the singularly most important and valuable product was the papyrus paper. Not only was the ancient Egypt's greatest export but it revolutionized the way people kept valuable information."

Also, the orphanage requests that we pray for the teenagers at the orphan home. Our hope is that they all find suitable apartments that are near a friend and Church as an extended accommodation.

“Thank you very much for standing with us through your prayers and financial support. The help and encouragement you provide makes all the difference in the lives of these children!” – MAB Ministries, Africa and the Middle East
